So if you've never joined us, welcome. If you're a regular, feel free to check out a new workout. Our trained instructors lead each class with enthusiasm and a sense of humor. Don't worry about making mistakes or "not fitting in."

STUDIO FITNESS CLASSES  Current Schedule

All About Abs/Core
The name says it all. This 30-minute class focuses exclusively on the abdominal area, incorporating different pieces of equipment, along with your own body weight, to deliver a core workout you won't forget.

AOA (Active Older Adult) Forever Fit
The Senior Center hosts this Monday-Wednesday morning class specifically geared toward older adults. A Y fitness staff member will lead you through low-impact aerobics, strength training, and stretching, all designed to keep you fit the smart way. This class meets from 9:00-9:45 a.m. and runs on a punch card system.  The cost per punch card is: $30 per person, $16 for Y members.

Basic Yoga
Here's your perfect introduction to yoga. In this course, you'll learn postures at a slow, controlled pace, focusing on form and technique. For those looking for relaxation and meditation, this course is for you.

Body Blast
Combine great music with balls, weights, bars, and other equipment, and what do you have? An hour that will make you smile, sweat, and get in shape. Body Blast makes strength training an ultra-fun, full-body workout.

Cardio Kickboxing
Feel the power with this full-force cardio workout. You'll kick, punch, jab, hook, and even upper-cut your way to feeling great. Moves set to music help you work on strength, balance, and flexibility. After this class, you'll feel ready to take anything on.

Chair Yoga

Postures are performed either seated (in chairs) or standing (using chair for balance) and are designed to promote body awareness, enhance range of motion and strength, promote balance and improve endurance.  Chair yoga takes a slower approach to postures while still focusing on alignment, breath and flow of moment.  This class is designed to use modifications/props to make postures available in a safe and healthy way.

Cycling
This interval cycling workout improves cardiovascular endurance, burns fat, and increases strength. All levels are welcome but class size is limited. To ensure you get a spot, call the Y or visit the Customer Service Counter up to 45 minutes ahead of time to reserve a cycling pass.

Cycle Circuit
Here's a twist to the regular cycling class--alternating intervals of cardio work on the bike and strength training off the bike. It's a great combination that keeps you focused, energized, and motivated.

Instructor's Choice
Every Monday morning at 11:30 a.m. and Saturday morning at 9:15 a.m. one of the Y's fitness instructors will offer his or her favorite class.

Kettlebells
A "kettlebell" or girya is a traditional Russian cast-iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle. Curious yet? Come find out how using this ancient tool can increase strength, mobility, energy, and vitality and create the ultimate all-around fitness class. To participate, you must have either taken a previous YMCA kettlebell class or an introductory kettlebell workshop. Workshops will be offered periodically based on member interest. Tell the Customer Service Counter staff you're interested!

Pilates
Pilates is designed to promote a balanced musculoskeletal system by improving flexibility, posture, body awareness, and the strength of your core. Instructors teach precision of movement, concentration, and attention to breathing in a calm atmosphere. See how Pilates can improve the way you move every day.

Power Yoga
Power Yoga isn't for the faint of heart. It's a challenging and rigorous form of yoga leading you through poses in continual, rapid succession. This class is terrific for men and women who want to build balance, flexibility, and strength.

SilverSneakers® - Muscle Strength & Range of Movement
In this course, geared toward older adults, you'll use hand-held weights, elastic bands, and an exercise ball to improve your range of movement for everyday living. Chairs are used periodically for support.

SilverSneakers® - Cardio Circuit
Seniors who want more variety in their workouts will love this option. You'll use hand-held weights, elastic bands, and an exercise ball, along with no-impact aerobic moves, head-to-toe stretching, and relaxation techniques. Start slow and watch how quickly your fitness improves!

Step
Catchy choreography, rhythm, and the step combine to make this a powerful workout.

Step-N-Sculpt
This class combines a high-intensity step class with a great muscle sculpting routine that will tone and shape your entire body. Feel free to attend the step or sculpting portion separately.

TGIFlow Yoga

This Vinyasa Flow class every Friday will get your weekend off to a great start. Some general yoga experience or knowledge is recommended but not required.

Turbo Kick
This class is a fusion workout of kickboxing, dance and martial arts. You will get a great cardiovascular workout as well as abdominal specific core strengthening. This fun aerobic workout will take you through 40 minutes of fun, funky and grooving moves that are easily adaptable for all fitness levels.

Vinyasa Level 1 & 2 - Go with the Flow Yoga

All levels vinyasa yoga with emphasis on stretching, balancing, lengthening and loosening the physical self as well as the psyche.  Incorporating fundamental yoga postures and the traditional vinyasa principle of breath movement, we'll focus on the present moment and flow through a variety of postures to bring peace, release tension, and feel wonderful.  go with the Flow Yoga at the YMCA will guide you into a state of harmony--9inside adn out!

Vinyasa Level 2 & 3 - Strength and Balance

Intermediate/Advanced yoga, pervious vinyasa experience recommended.  A more challenging form of yoga characterized by sun salutations and a diverse series of strength, balancing, and muscle lengthening poses practiced in a flowing succession.  Vinyasa 2 & 3 at the YMCA emphasizes physical and mental strength, flexibility, stability, and balance.

Willpower and Strength
A dynamic mosaic of the fitness industry's most popular (and most effective) group exercise workouts. Experience barefoot training fused with cardio, power yoga and functional training techniques that will help you increase your strength, balance and flexibility.

ZUMBA
Start moving those hips and join the rave that's taking hold around the country. This class combines Latin and international music with dance steps for an incredibly fun cardio fitness workout. Join the party and come dance with us!

WATER FITNESS CLASSES  Current Schedule

Classes are listed in order of intensity

Rusty Hinges
Designed by the National Arthritis Foundation, this class concentrates on improving your range of motion gently and effectively. Workouts aim to decrease pain and stiffness, help maintain and improve joint flexibility, and increase energy. Class takes place in our zero-depth entry, 88-degree recreational pool. An elevator to the pool level is available.

Swimlates
Improve your endurance, flexibility, coordination, strength, and muscle tone. No swimming experience necessary. Just come to the shallow end of our warm recreation pool and be ready to move. All abilities welcome.

SilverSneakers® - SilverSplash 

Activate your aqua exercise urge for variety! SilverSplash® offers LOTS of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required and a special SilverSneakers® kickboard is used to develop strength, balance, and coordination.

Low Tide
Learn the right water exercises to target your specific fitness goals. Trained instructors will teach you safe, effective, water moves just right for your age, skill, and ability. No swimming skills are needed. See how great water workouts can be!

Aqua Mix
This 45-minute aquatic workout incorporates cardiovascular and strength training movements using a variety of flotation tools. Safe and fun for all levels and abilities, it's a good way to start your water fitness experience. Class meets in the lap pool.

W.E.T.  (Water Exercise Training)
Swift cardiovascular movements that carry you across the lap pool's deep and shallow ends will make you sweat in the water. Great music keeps you motivated so you get in shape while having fun.

High Tide
Turn up the intensity by taking this deep-water course. Flotation belts will be used, but all moves take place in the deep end and are geared toward those who want to take their workout to a higher level.

W.E.T. & Wild
Higher intensity aerobics that can be modified for a more moderate workout if desired. A well-balanced athletic workout including cardio segments with an emphasis on strengthening and toning. Aquatic equipment is recommended for resistance and buoyancy. Swimming skills are not required, but are helpful.

TAI CHI

Tai Chi, often called "meditation in motion", promotes peace of mind through gentle movements and focused breathing. Originating in China as a martial art form, Tai Chi focuses your mind and de-stresses your body. In class, you'll perform a series of postures in a flowing manner so you're in slow but constant motion.

Our Tai Chi class is the classical Tai Chi Ch'uan 108 posture Yang Style Long Form, and people of all ages and skills are welcome.
