When you give a gift to the Y Capital Campaign, you partner with us to improve the facility. These necessary facility upgrades help us fulfill the YMCA Mission: To enhance the quality of life for individuals and the community through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body.
During 2010, we made significant capital improvements to the Y. We updated the locker rooms, replaced most of the HVAC, refurbished the pools, redid the gym and Wellness Center floors, and this spring we will replace the vans.
This work has been underwritten, for the most part, with a narrowly focused capital campaign which has raised over $700,000 of pledges. The total cost of the projects will be $850,000. Now, we want to give all community members the opportunity to be a part of the capital campaign and to be recognized on the donor's wall of the Y as in past campaigns.
The great news is that we have a donor willing to match up to $50,000 of additional donations received in the capital drive.
Gifts of $100 or more will be recognized on the donor's wall at the Y. And gifts of $1,000 or more will receive an invitation to a recognition reception later in the year.
