Healthy Living Director

The Red Wing Family YMCA is looking for an energetic, goal driven, self starter with strong communications, team building and leadership skills to lead all aspects of our Healthy Living Department.

The successful applicant will demonstrate proven expertise in personal training, group exercise, staffing [hiring, training and supervision], financial management and program development.

Qualifications include: Bachelors Degree in Fitness related field, Certifications in personal training and/or group exercise, 3 years experience in staff leadership, proven budget development and management experience and commitment to the YMCA Mission.  CPR/AED certifications, strong computer background and sports background are preferred .

  • Part-time Lifeguards - Early mornings, day time, evenings and weekend shifts.
  • Part-time Swim Instructors - Afternoons, evenings and weekends.
  • Part-time Wellness Center Attendants - Early morning, evening and weekend shifts.
  • Part-time Membership Specialist - Afternoon/early evening

The Y offers part-time employees flexible scheduling, a variety of work experiences and competitive pay.  Part-time employees generally work 5-20 hours per week.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: Josh Thygesen

Swim Instructors

Weekday afternoon and evening positions available. Experience is helpful but not necessary. Y will provide training.

Gymnastics Instructors

Instructors work with children ages 3 through 10, teaching basic gymnastic skills.  Tuesday and/or Thursday afternoons from 4 to 7 p.m.

Umpires/Referees for Youth Sports

Choose one or more: baseball, softball, flag football, soccer,    volleyball, basketball, or floor hockey

Field Supervisors

Baseball, softball, flag football and soccer

Supervisor for Game Room

Staff the Climbing Wall

Childcare provider at Kids' Care and Kids' Gym

HEALTHY LIVING: Mike Melstad

Group Fitness Class Instructors

Customer Service

Provide help at Welcome Desk and Customer Service Counter.
