Looking for something fun you can do together as a family? The YMCA has a variety of programs and open gym and swim times available to help solve that challenge. Watch for special programs in the current Program Schedule. In addition to these programs, be sure to check out our Get Active page for information on upcoming community events, runs and races.
YMCA Family Programs are a great way to try new things, meet new people, make new friends, and have fun.
The YMCA will be offering a Family Fun Night on December 12th, January 9th, February 13th and March 13th. They will run from 5:00-8:00 pm and is open to all families in the community. The gyms and racquetball courts will be open from 5-8 pm, the climbing wall from 6:00-7:00 pm and the Rec Pool with Water Slide from 6-7:30 pm. The cost is $10 per family, FREE for YMCA Family members. For more information, contact David Anderson
WELCH VILLAGE SKI/SNOWBOARD NIGHTS
The YMCA and Welch Village will be offering a special price for families to ski or snowboard during the winter months. One Saturday night a month, YMCA members will receive a discounted price on a lift ticket and rental equipment. A lesson is included if families are interested. Youth, elementary age and younger, must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact David Anderson.
RED WING GOLF CLUB FAMILY DAYS
This summer the Red Wing Golf Club will be offering a special deal to YMCA members. Every Thursday, beginning June 12th, families may play 9 holes of golf and have the use of a cart for only $12.00 per adult. Kids play for free. Tee times may be made between 10:00 am – 4:00 pm by calling 388-9524. Please inform them you are a YMCA member if you call and show your membership card when you play. Fall Fest
Join us on Friday, October 24th for our annual celebration of Fall. Walk through the Mystery Maze, play carnival games, make some arts & crafts and take a chance at winning the “Great Pumpkin”. Fall Fest is open to all families in the community and will run from 6:30-8:30 pm. The cost is $2.00 per person, $10 maximum per family. Children are encouraged to come dressed in costume. Turkey Trot
On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27th the YMCA will hold our annual Turkey Trot at 8:15 am. Families may get some exercise and help provide food for those who are less fortunate. Choose from a 1K, 3K or 5K Fun Run/Walk. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the Red Wing Area Food Shelf. Participants may give as much as they like, minimum donation is $5.00 per person.
