Child Watch Rooms 

We are hiring for morning shift staff to work in the on site child care rooms.   Hours are: 8:30 to 11:30, 9-12, 9:30 -12:30 M- F.  You are also asked to take a weekend shift on a fair rotational schedule a month,  and those are Saturdays 9-12, Sunday 11-2.  The ages you would be working are  with are 6 weeks of age to age 8.  You will be asked to engage with the  children in light and fun activities while building connections with the child and parents.  You will receive a single family membership , free child care while you work, and a great company to work for.  We are a family and we know how to have fun!   For more information, you may get the application off of the web page or stop in and our front desk staff will get you one.  Put attention Kendra Byer on it.  To learn more , please call the  Y and ask for Kendra Byer. 

Kid's Power Club Staff- school age Program:

WE have STARTING THE  HIRING FOR the 2019 summer!  Seeking  many energetic college and high school students to work with school age children for the 2019 summer.  This is a day camp with many fun activities you will be asked to engage in with children during your day.  Some of these are field trips, gym games, STEAM  projects, swimming , outside fun etc..  Must be able to work most of the summer June 10th through August 31st, 2019 with very limited time off.  Will look at schedules to see if a good fit.  You can pick from full time or part time hours, Monday through Friday- NO WEEKENDS !   Prior training before  is requires for the start of this program.  You will get a free summer membership and competitive wages upon experience.   You can fill out our employee application on this website, and put attention  Gwen Lynch on it, or e-mail with any questions.  

Y After School Program:  

Are your afternoons open from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm ?  Looking for a little extra income.  Come see what school age children are up too!   This is a grweat job for high school students in Red Wing that are not in many other activities.   Helping children release stress from the day is fun here at the YMCA!  Looking for staff who can make a difference, play games and build relationships with children.  This program runs from September to the end of the school year.  You will receive a single membership and get to work for a great company. Summer Rec:  

We are hiring now for this program!  The Summer Rec staff will go out to two of local parks during the hours of 9 am to 12 pm during the months of June and July on  M-TH- F playing games and crafts.   Staff will also go on Wednesday field trips and help on Tuesday Enrichment days with school age children.  For more information on how you can make a difference in a child, and gain great employment skills, call the Y and ask for Gwen Lynch

Youth Engagement Coordinator:   Seeking energetic and responsible staff to work with and engage with youth who use the YMCA for extended periods of time after school and on the weekend.  Must be a creative individual willing to take initiative and work outside of the box.

Membership Service Staff: The Member Service Staff is part of a team responsible for the overall delivery of excellent customer service to all members, guests, and program participants. The incumbent is responsible for the sale of memberships, responding to member and guest needs, promoting programs, and maintaining cleanliness and organization at the Membership Desk.


Custodian: Part-time Evenings after closing (currently closing is M-TH 10 p.m. & Friday 8 p.m.) and 
Saturday & Sunday after closing (currently closing is 5:00 p.m.)
3 - 4 hours each day with the potential to increase. Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned.  The incumbent is accountable for the completion of assigned duties with a minimum level of supervision.  Duties may include, but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, window washing, and other general cleaning responsibilities.
