Lifeguard Training • Pool Kayaking
Whether you're training for a lifeguard job or want to improve your water safety skills, this class fits the bill. As part of your Red Cross training, you'll also get certified in Red Cross First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
To participate, you must be 15 years old and be able to swim 300 yards continuously (12 laps of the pool). This class will be held at the Y.

Times
Wednesday, June 6th from 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Friday, June 8th from 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 9th from 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Cost
$200.00 per person
A $35.00 deposit is needed to check out a Lifeguard Training Book.

Participants will earn wet exists, paddle strokes, and rolling techniques. Tuesdays will be spent working on techniques only. On Thursdays, the first hour will be spent working on techniques and the second hour spent on playing water polo in our kayaks.
