Leaders in Training (LIT) entering grades 9-10

This two week program is designed for our older campers who would like to develop their leadership skills while still enjoying the day to day camp activities. Campers who participate in the LIT program get access as a group to the more advanced activities, such as our challenge course, team building, service projects, initiatives and a night excursion away from camp that will further refine their leadership skills. Prior enrollment at Camp Pepin is not necessary to register for this camp.

Session #6: July 21-August 2

$1,059 Members; $1,099 Non-members

Counselors in Training (CIT) entering grades 10-12

Some of our best staff were once campers themselves at Camp Pepin and the Counselors In Training (CIT) Camp helps to foster this exciting transition. Campers enrolled in this session gain hands on training on being a staff member. They will participate in experiences that cultivate responsibility, leadership, and time management, qualities which are necessary to the supervision of youth and to future employers. The first week of this camp models the training that all of our staff receive prior to the beginning of summer, including time on the Challenge Course and on the trail. The second week is spent shadowing counselors, helping run class sessions, campfires, and other camp activities.

Session #8: August 4-16

$1,059 Members; $1099 Non-members

Counselors in Training with Sailing (CIT) entering grades 10-12

The first week of the CIT program focuses on team building, leadership skills and working with youth on site at Camp Pepin. Students will then advance to Week 2 putting these skills into action on board the Amicus II on beautiful Lake Superior. There is no need to have prior sailing experience; it is more important that students in this program have a desire to learn and a passion for adventure.
