Camp Pepin is fortunate to be located in an area where outside activities abound. The bluffs, woods, rivers, lakes, and trails provide a wonderful playground for those that enjoy adventures in the out-of-doors. During each trail camp, our staff will lead overnight trip experiences that teach skills and cover distances that are age-appropriate and tailored to the physical stature and experience of their campers.

 

North Shore Trail Blazers

Open to Campers 13-17 years of age.

North Shore Backpackers venture to the Superior National Forest in northeastern Minnesota. They will spend 4 days hiking the Superior Hiking Trail and camping in state parks and forests. Hiking through the spray of a waterfall and indescribable, breathtaking vistas of Lake Superior will surely be a memory lasting forever! Expeditioners attending this specialty camp will develop self-care skills, confidence and an understanding of what they really need in their pack as they travel through their amazing scenic land.

Devils Lake/Wisconsin Dells

Open to Campers 13-17 years of age.

Ever wanted to go exploring, get out of the hustle and bustle of city life and fully immerse yourselves in the awe of nature? Have all this camping knowledge and need a trip to show off your skills? Don't have any camping knowledge, but always wanted to try? Camp Pepin's Devil's Lake Trip can get you that experience and sense of adventure! This amazing 5 day 4 night excursion into the Devil's Lake State Park provides many opportunities to canoe, hike, climb, and camp. A development of camping skills, outdoor adventure skills, as well as a positive community skill in the small group setting! Devil's Lake Trip is the trip you've always wanted to go on, the only question is, are you ready for your next level adventure?

Vertical Pathways

Open to Campers 12-17 years of age.

For those that want to rise above it all, climbing camp is the way to go. Participants will learn from our trained staff about the equipment and safety procedures involved with this sport. They will be able to put their knowledge to use on our Challenge Course, which boasts low ropes elements, high ropes, a climbing tower, and faith pole. This camp will feature a trip that takes advantage of climbs around our region on natural rock outcroppings and vertical bluffs. No climbing experience is necessary.
