Welcome to Camp Pepin!
Camp Pepin has something for everyone this summer: Resident Camps, Day Camps, Family Camp, and Family Cabin Rentals.
Far more than a summer adventure, Camp Pepin is a life experience with a value that far extends beyond the boundaries of a single summer.
At YMCA Camp Pepin, we seek to inspire our Campers to see how amazing our world truly is. Our Campers have the opportunity to experience carefully crafted itineraries, small groups, and attentive, caring leaders. From paddling to sailing, target sports, and arts and crafts, our adventures are sure to help your Camper discover a whole new world while sharing in the fun of new friendships with amazing leadership.
Learn More about our Programs
Camping became a cornerstone of Red Wing Family YMCA programming 81 years ago, with the aim to provide children with a positive developmental experience through immersion in nature, making new friends, building confidence, and growing in self-reliance.
Day Camp Pepin - Camp Pepin's new day camp program will provide your child with fun-filled days this summer! Traditional camp activities such as swimming, sports & games, target range, climbing wall, boating, outdoor education, and arts & crafts are some of the many adventures your camper will experience. All camper groups will be led by creative and invested counselors who will care for your child and support their positive growth this summer.
Traditional Resident Camp - This overnight camp provides opportunities for your camper to unplug, learn new hands-on skills, and make new friends under the guidance of trained and caring staff. Our spectacular waterfront includes opportunities to learn how to paddle canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards. On land, campers enjoy field games and sports, outdoor education in the backwoods, climbing, and the team challenge course. Our overnight campers also enjoy evening camp games, skits and songs, and campfires with their cabin group. Come make new friends and reconnect with old ones.
Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Camp - This program is the launching pad for learning more about yourself as a team member, a leader, and a facilitator. Time will be spent getting to know your CIT team through group games and challenges, as well as some of our traditional camp activities. The CITE team will set goals for themselves and build their cabin culture map to guide them through the week. This team will enjoy supporting camp activities while developing a deeper understanding of camp operations. Campers who have successfully completed the LIT (Leaders-in-Training) program will be given priority for the CIT program. If you have not completed the LIT program, we encourage you to still apply and we will bring you on board if space allows.
Leaders-in-Training (LIT) Camp - This program is designed for our older campers who would like to develop their leadership skills while still enjoying the traditional camp activities. LIT campers will learn about leadership styles, tips and tricks for facilitation, and have the opportunity to support staff in managing camp activities. The LIT group will enjoy building their own group cohesiveness and culture with team building projects. Prior enrollment at Camp Pepin is not required for attending this program.
