Early Childhood Education Center - Licensed Preschool & School Age Programs at the Y

YMCA membership is not required to participate in most of our educational programs for kids.

Full-Day Licensed Preschool | Preschool 1 and Preschool 2
33 Months - 5 Years

Our preschool programs (Preschool 1 : 33mo-4yr and Preschool 2: 4yr-5yr) is a fully licensed preschool program that operates right on the main level of our Y. This program serves children 33 months to 5 years of age. Our preschool programs have received the highest rating from the state of Minnesota through Parent Aware, receiving four stars. Daily Curriculum plans are implemented into our day to align with the State of MN Early Childhood Indicators of Progress. Children will also enjoy extra activities here at the Y like weekly swimming, an option for swim lessons, gym time, trips to the library and much more!

All of our Teachers have an Early Childhood Education degree and/or are qualified Early Childhood Teachers recognized by the state of Minnesota.

Part-Day Licensed Preschool Program | Sunshine Corner
Must be 3 years old by September - 5 years 

Sunshine Corner is a unique preschool program designed to prepare students for their adventure into Kindergarten. This program can be utilized right along side of Peach Tree Childcare as well-so during their day, they can also participate in preschool!

Sunshine Corner is located on the sunny corner of the Red Wing Y, students cook up pretend feasts in our small kitchen, paint pictures, and enjoy the sensory table. Spaces are limited in our preschool program-to learn more or to reserve a spot, contact our Child Care Director.

Y School Age Care   |  Before/After School and Non-School Day Care
Kindergarten - Grade 5

When school is out, the Y School Age Child Care Program is in!  A variety of activities are geared toward individual interests to keep kids engaged. This program is available during the week for before and after school care-a school bus will drop them right out in front of the Y, so no more worrying whether or not they made it to their location safely! 

This program is open for before school care from 6:00 AM to bus departure and again for after school care from bus drop off to 6:00 PM.

On non-school days, this program operates from 6:00 AM-6:00 PM.

Kids Power Club   |   Summer Day Camp
Entering Kindergarten in the Fall - Grade 5

Kids Power Club is for children entering Kindergarten through 5th grade. This program operates from 6:00 AM-6:00 PM Monday through Friday. The majority of our programming happens from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM.

Kids Power Club will offer your child a feeling of connection as they build relationships with peers and staff.  Our action packed days will keep your child busy with gym games, pool time, outside park fun, weekly field trips, STEM activities, climbing wall, and so much more!

Child Watch | Drop-In Childcare while you workout (Availability may be limited due to capacity)

6 weeks - 8 Years of age

We'll watch your kids while you workout!
 

Hours:

Monday - Saturday  9:00am-11:30am

Monday-Thursday 4:30-7:30pm

(Closed for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and New Years Day)

Cost:

Families with a Family Membership may use Child Watch for free!

Non-Members or Children not on a membership $20.00 per day.
