Our older campers are in a position to share with our younger campers some of the skills and experiences that have been taught to them. In doing this, they must take on certain levels of responsibility in keeping the traditions of YMCA Camp Pepin alive for the next generation.

Leaders in Training (LIT)

Ages 13-15

Two-week session: July 24 - August 5

This program is designed for our older campers who would like to develop their leadership skills while still enjoying the day-to-day camp activities. Campers who participate in the LIT program get access as a group to camp's more advanced activities, such as our challenge course, team building, service projects and initiatives. Prior enrollment at Camp Pepin is not necessary to register for this camp.

Counselors in Training (CIT)

Ages 15-17

Two-week session: July 10 - July 22

Some of our best staff were once campers themselves at Camp Pepin, and the Counselors-In-Training (CIT) program helps to foster this exciting transition. Campers enrolled in this session gain hands-on training in what being a staff member is all about.
