Here at the Y, we offer a wide range of sports & fitness opportunities for youth of all ages! From T-ball to gymnastics, there really isn't anything we don't offer! Check out what we have this year below!
This program can be completed at any time. Anytime is a great time to get your child introduced to our wellness center. Youth Wellness Center Orientation sessions are perfect for youth entering 6th grade or are between the ages of 12 and 15. Once children complete the course, they will receive a wrist band to enter the Wellness Center.
This program is designed to teach children the
fundamental concepts of basketball. The program focuses on technique
and will subsequently build on each other, helping
the children to gradually increase their ability to do the basic skill to help them
play basketball. Each week will consist of a game or 2.
Take your best shot and discover how fun and exciting playing floor hockey can be with the Red Wing Family YMCA! This version of ice hockey is played in regular shoes with a small ball and hockey sticks. We maximize the fun by including an exciting mix of instruction, drills, and games to develop the fundamental floor hockey skills of dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, and goal keeping.
Beginner tumbling class will guide your child through creative movements. It is designed to build self-confidence, body awareness and social and motor skills while learning basic gymnastics fundamentals in a FUN and encouraging environment. Sessions are 30 minutes.
Beginners 4:30-5 PM
Intermediate tumbling class will continue to work on the basic skills and fundamentals of gymnastics, in addition to adding more difficult acrobatics. Sessions are 45 minutes.
Int/Adv 5:00-5:45 PM
Advanced tumblers must be working on back tucks. Sessions are 45 minutes.

Are you someone who loves to work with kiddos? Want to share your passion and love for the game with our youth? Become a YMCA Coach! We are seeking volunteer coaches for all of our youth sports and even sports we do not currently offer. From dance to flag football and floor hockey, we have a ton of options that we are seeking coaches for!
