YMCA Camp Pepin is now accepting Staff applications for this summer! Please make sure you have all of the necessary paperwork completed before you submit your application. Positions Available:

  • OUTDOOR EDUCATION CAMP COOK :: NEEDED IMMEDIATELY!
    • Qualifications: Must be 18 +
    • Must be able to pass a government background check.
    • Must be a positive role model.
    • Candidate must be flexible including evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.
  • Counselor
    • Duties: Serve as a two-person team to lead a cabin group of 10 campers; oversee the health, safety, and welfare of the campers; provide supervision, direction, enthusiasm, and positive reinforcement for the campers; demonstrate patience and positive role-modeling; teach daily skill session activities; compose written communications to campers following their experience.
  • Waterfront Director
    • Qualifications: High School graduate, 19+ years old, and current lifeguard certification (or returning staff member, 18+ years old, and current lifeguard certification)
    • Duties: Establish a safe waterfront and beach area; teach and/or supervise staff and campers in waterfront activities; conduct and evaluate swim skills; conduct waterfront emergency drills; and maintain all waterfront equipment.

  • Get to know us - review our website to familiarize yourself with Camp Pepin
    Find out what you'd like to do at camp- review the available Staff Positions to help you determine which jobs you would be interested in and would qualify for.
  • Submit three (3) references: Download three (3) copies of the Reference Form and give each of them (along with a stamped envelope addressed to Camp Pepin) to three people - excluding family members - that can speak about your character, like former employers, teachers, and pastors all make good references.
  • Complete the New Employee Application Form. Staff that have previously worked at Camp Pepin within the last year should complete the Returning Employee Application Form to be considered for rehire.

When your completed Application and three References have been submitted, your application packet is considered complete, and we will contact you to set up a phone interview. You will be notified shortly thereafter of your status so that you may begin planning for the summer. Staff that are hired seasonally will be emailed an Employment Agreement and will need to complete and submit the hiring forms that are appropriate to their position in the Employment Packet.
